Trip Overview

Join us for a day in the snow with the Wilderness Union shuttle, heading to some of the best winter sports activities around. Drop you off at Hardwood Ski and Bike, where we have access to over 40 km of trails winding through hardwood and pine forests. The terrain includes 9 loops, from 3 km to 22 km, making it suitable for everyone, whether you’re just starting or an elite racer. You’ll encounter gently rolling sections, as well as more challenging areas, so you can choose the path that fits our comfort level.

If skiing isn’t your thing, you can switch it up with fat biking. These bikes come with oversized tires that are perfect for riding on snow. We’ll have plenty of trails to explore, with warming stations scattered throughout the forest. Take your time, enjoying the sights, and take breaks by the fire if needed.

This is a great way to enjoy the final days of winter together.

Members of WIlderness Union receive 20% off all trail passes and ticket packs when they book online though https://www.hardwoodskiandbike.ca/

Indigenous History of the Area

We like to share some of the indigenous background of the areas we visit because these territories have rich histories that are easy to overlook. Indigenous communities have a connection to and respect for the land that has largely been lost since European settlement. As we strive to form a deeper connection with the land, we have much to learn from these communities. I use the Native Land map to learn more about these areas and find that developing a richer understanding leads to a greater enjoyment of the adventures.
