Adventure Description

Are you feeling stressed about the US election? Would you rather pretend it wasn't happening? Join us for an overnight at Silent Lake Provincial park where we'll switch off our phones, avoid politics altogether and disconnect in the healthiest way possible.

We'll eat well, hang out together and tackle a beautiful 14km hike around Silent Lake on day 2 before returning to Toronto feeling more zen about the state of the world.

Are you feeling stressed about the US election? Would you rather pretend it wasn't happening? Join us for an overnight at Silent Lake Provincial park where we'll switch off our phones, avoid politics altogether and disconnect in the healthiest way possible.

We'll be staying in a comfortable, heated cabin with proper beds, a small kitchen with microwave and BBQ.

The cabin exterior

Day one, we'll go for a walk around to check out the area, hang out around a fire, play games, have dinner together and just generally unwind.

Day 2, we'll tackle the beautiful 14km hike around the eponymous lake to truly get away from it all. We'll return to Toronto late on the 6th, none the wiser about what's happened in our absence!

We'll eat well, hang out together and tackle a beautiful 14km hike around Silent Lake on day 2 before returning to Toronto feeling more zen about the state of the world.

Comfort stations are open so there'll be hot showers available. All of the adventure with none of the hardship!

We'll be providing a cooked breakfast, one cold lunch and one hot dinner.

The cabin interior

Sleeping arrangements:

There are 2 queen beds, 1 single bed. We'll also be bringing sleeping pads so nobody needs to share a bed. You'll need to bring your own bedding.

You can check out a full video tour of the kind of cabin that we'll be staying in here.

Note that and we'll need at least 3 people signed up before Wednesday to go ahead with this trip.

Please also note this will be a completely phones-off trip. We'll have an emergency communicator for safety purposes but we'll be leaving our phones in the van. Feel free to bring a separate camera to capture the experience.
