We're heading up North to watch the Orionid meteor shower.  It’s one of the most reliable meteor showers of the year, producing around 20 meteors per hour at its peak under optimal conditions.

The Orionids are associated with Halley's Comet, as the Earth passes through the debris left by the comet's orbit. When these bits of debris, mostly tiny fragments of dust and ice, enter Earth’s atmosphere, they burn up, creating the bright streaks of light we see as meteors.

Bring:

- Warm clothes - it's going to be cold

- A torch or headlight

- Camera/telescope/binoculars

- Sleeping pads or camp chairs will make your life more comfortable
