Adventure Description

Backcountry camping has a way of connecting you with nature and making you feel more alive. It's you at your most natural, being self-sufficient in the wild.

It can be hard to get into - it's hard to access, hard work and expensive. This trip is none of those things! It's the perfect introduction to dip your toes into backcountry camping... a super quick single night hike-in trip. Wilderness Union offers the only overnight backcountry camping trip that exists, letting you get far away from civilization within a single weekend and the lowest cost way of doing this that you'll find.

We're going to be camping in one of our secret locations on crown-land that you won't find anywhere else. Just under 2 hours away from Toronto, we'll hike in with the gear we need on our back and set up next to an incredibly pretty river.

When we're there, you can choose your own adventure... Cool off in the river, read in a hammock, learn campsite skills. We'll teach you everything you need to know about camping comfortably in the woods like learning how to hang your food safely away from bears, start a campfire and more.

That night, we'll hang out around the campfire, stare at some epic stars and have a full reset before returning to the city, feeling like new human beings.

This trip is suitable for all members with just a 3km hike in.

What's included

This trip is professionally guided and includes all camp meals and cooking equipment, along with tents. We have cheap equipment rental for those who need a sleeping bag and sleeping pad.

Before the trip we'll be sharing a detailed packing list telling you absolutely everything you need to think about and pack, as well as an info session to ask any outstanding questions so you can turn up feeling totally prepared, ready to have an amazing time with the WU crew.
