Adorable rescue dogs and a hike through the spectacular scenery that Muskoka has to offer, what could be better?
We're starting this adventure by meeting with the puppies from a local rescue. They're excited to have the dogs stretch their paws with an easy 7km hike that traces the gorgeous Muskoka river. We will venture along pine-fringed shores and easy trails through dense forest.
The lovely helpers from the rescue will walk with us and answer any questions you may have about the dogs and what goes into caring and adopting rescue dogs. Once the hike is done we will say goodbye with lots of head scratches before stopping for lunch next to a waterfall. You'll have a chance to switch off from the worries of the city and take in some incredibly peaceful views.
This hike is in one of Wilderness Union's secret locations that we don't share publicly - you'll get the precise location once you've registered for the trip but it's close to Bracebridge in Muskoka. Our secret locations are places you won't have visited before and are typically super quiet as the secret hasn't yet got out.
No personal dogs are allowed on this event.
A portion of the cost of the trip will also be donated to the dog rescue to support them in their goal of finding good forever homes for dogs in need.
