McCrae lake is an absolutely gorgeous conservation reserve at the Southern end of the Canadian Shield. Just a couple of hours away from Toronto, it's very quiet this time of year. We'll follow a trail through the forest that ultimately ends up at an epic scenic lookout where we'll stop for lunch.
Depending on snow levels we'll either hike or snowshoe. We have 9 pairs of snowshoes for folks (first come, first served) and plenty of ice spikes if they're not required.
This is an out and back 8km hike, not overly challenging but you'll want to be in decent shape because the snow can make things harder.
