We’ll hike 40km across a mountain range in one of Ontario’s most remote and pristine landscapes. This is a land of stark quartzite ridges, tranquil lakes, and untamed wilderness.
The trail is a challenging backcountry route that rewards those who seek it out with breathtaking views, serene campsites, and a chance to encounter wildlife in their natural environment.
This 40km through-hike will be a serious challenge. There’s over a kilometer in elevation to overcome with steep ascents up stunning quartzite mountains. You’ll find ample reward at the top with some iconic views.

What kind of challenge can I expect?
This is a physically and mentally demanding hike, suited for fit fans of type-2 fun. The terrain is rugged and steep, with long stretches of unmarked trail and minimal infrastructure. The remoteness of the trail means you must carry all your supplies and be prepared for any conditions.
